Dartmouth Dual Degree Program

I am a current student who has a keen interest in applying for the joint Dual-Degree Program between my school and Dartmouth.

I am rather interested in pursuing the Modified Engineering Sciences Major (Management and Financial engineering - Economics). Is that a course offered for students wishing to gain admission to the Dual-Degree Program? Please advise if I would be graduating with a BE in Management and Financial engineering if I were to complete the program.

Also, I was wondering how is financial aid determined at Dartmouth, and what are some of the options available. How dramatic would the difference in aid be, comparing my current aid package at my home institution and the offer from Dartmouth?

I understand that I have loaded this with a lot of questions, but if anyone would be able to steer me in the correct direction, it would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

I don’t think people on this forum will be able to answer many of your questions. The engineering professors are amazing though and will answer any questions (the dead of engineering sent me the most amazing email that sold me on the program). Good luck!

Hi Dcu,

Thanks for the reply! Are u a current Dartmouth student admitted under the Dual-Degree program as well? How was your experience like?

I concur with you that some of the professors give pretty good advice. I am in touch with them to see whether an Econ major can work something out with the program to gain some form of specialization in Finance related fields upon graduation.

Any thoughts on that?

I’m going to be a freshman next year, so I don’t really know too much about the logistics. Sorry!
