Accepted and applied test optional. Good luck to all of those deferred.

Accepted!! So excited! My financial aid didn’t update but I got an email a few days ago telling me my financial aid application was incomplete.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted, I’m genuinely so happy for you all.

I was deferred with a 3.83 UW / 4.4 W, most rigorous courseload at my school
33 ACT
White female

deferred with very similar gpa, but 35 ACT and Asian. looks like everyone who got in had a UW 3.9+ at the very least

I think GPA had more weight this year, especially for those who didn’t have a test score like me.

Does anyone know the stats for %accepted/deferred/rejected?

There was a 30% increase in applicants this year. I can’t copy the link but there’s an article on thedartmouth: “Dartmouth admits 566 early decision applicants from largest-ever pool”

Anyone know the percentage of deferrals? I got deferred (like what seems like most of ppl on this page did) - Opinions on chances for regular ?

Also btw I’ll take the deferral after getting told I had “no chance” at any ivies by my college counselor

Tough, generally, but deferred applicants have already shown high interest, so there’s that. I was accepted but just as easily could have been deferred or rejected, especially this year. Best of luck to you.

accepted! lmk if anyone wants stats (white female, midwest)

My son attended bound and was deferred

Applicants who were deferred or denied may want to consider other choices from this Forbes article, in which Dartmouth appears:

stats please!

I was also accepted (without SAT/ACT) and can give my stats if anyone wants them

Please send stats

I’m a white female who attends a public high school in the Boston suburbs. My unweighted GPA was 4.0 and my weighted GPA was 4.54. I took 4 APs before senior year (2 5s, 2 4s) and am currently taking 4 more. I think the area in which I really stood out was ECs: I’m the president of my school’s Environment Club and helped initiate a composting program in my school district. I’ve been a competitive rock climber for 7 years and have a second degree black belt in karate. I’m also a member of three other clubs (including NHS) and have won a few school awards. I have over 200 hours of community service and was supposed to have a research internship at the Museum of Science this summer (canceled due to COVID). I’m also a student mentor, karate instructor, and climbing coach. Overall, I think my essays and letters of rec were really strong too!

Hello Y’all! I am a member of the class of 2024, I was deferred ED and was accepted RD and wanted to send some good vibes! Some 24s and clubs wanted to send accepted 25s congratulations notes, we were curious if y’all had some sort of group chat other than the facebook that we could send y’all some stuff in. Congratulations and good luck to all deferred applications.
