Dartmouth ED Class of 2020

So how far have people actually got with RD applications (without intention to jynx it… haha). I understand that some people are postponing them but I’ve still got a few short answers to write and one essay. Anyone else in the same boat?

@LucasKovacs I finished the RD apps that did not have extended supplements. If it required more than an hour on Common App to complete, I didn’t do it. That is my rule until decisions come out. Once I find out where I stand, I’ll do the rest.

I’ve 5-6 essays and 20 or so short answers to do. I might cut some colleges from my list though.

Ugh same the more and more I think about it the more I realize I’m probably going to be rejected. I’m applying to a bunch of other colleges, but I keep wondering if I should add more because I’m terrified I won’t get in anywhere. I’ve hardcore procrastinated on essays, though

I haven’t started a single RD app. So I would have to apply to 10 schools in under 10 days.

How do you see if the ED agreement has been downloaded or not? I am just tring to grasp whatever sign of indication.

And I have finished 4 RD apps of out 8. After the decision comes out, whether accepted or rej, I don’t think i will be able to write a word. So better start writing earlier and finish everything before 16th.

I submitted 12 RD apps simply because the chances of getting into Dartmouth are slim. If I get rejected, I’m happy I got these apps out already, but if I’m lucky enough to be accepted, I will gladly withdraw all those other apps.

Anyone looking at the colleges with lots of supplements and cutting them out of their lists? goodbye Columbia

Ah people shouldn’t get disheartened by the fact that Dartmouth is an Ivy and thus very exclusive, or that the statistics appear too intimidating. Nothing has changed since we applied, the chances are just the same and everyone will focus on the faults of their application, it’s in our nature… but I don’t wanna see people really anxious or upset even before the results have come out. At least we can be happy that we got the chance to apply, Lord knows we’ve tried hard for it. My school was so unhelpful too, my family still has debt to pay them, they didn’t even let me sit an Oxford TSA exam and waited until about 20th November to send off the school reports via commonapp… haha

@strust98 haha yeah I’m probably cutting out Columbia for the same reason

@CC142857, you can view it via the Common App, in your “My Colleges” Section, but we’ve pretty much established it doesn’t mean anything.

I just got promoted to a Junior Member on here, can I upload that as a new accomplishment to the AMS?

already applied EDII to vanderbilt

I cut Brown out. It has 4 supplementals and I just don’t have that in me anymore.

I cut Columbia for the same reason too! so far I’ve submitted 5 other applications and I think I’ll apply to 4-6 more schools depending on how I’m feeling haha

I have a research paper to write this weekend, and with finals next week I know that this is my last opportunity to be productive because, come Wednesday, nothing at my high school will seem to matter anymore, whether I’m accepted or rejected

I don’t think I can convince myself to go to school on Thursday…whether I’m accepted or not.

My recital’s done, folks! =D>
