@zgottch i mean the parent agreement could be an indication. because all else says downloaded.
but I am tired of all these guesswork. The release day is approaching. Let’s just wait and pray for each other.
What do you all mean by downloaded…? My portal just reads “received” next to each item.
@sunimah Not on application portal. It’s in Common Application system under “my colleges”.
There has been rounds of discussion on this agreement thing in this thread. Nobody is sure whether it indicates anything or not. Don’t take it too seriously.
Just to be sure are the speculations saying if your parent’s ED agreement says submitted, it’s a good thing cz mine says SUBMITTED?
Honestly, guys, we are overthinking it. It probably means nothing. Let’s just wait and see.
I think most if not all of us have “submitted” for Parent ED agreement. A few people says “downloaded” but then saw they were looking at the counselor ED agreement.
Good luck guys from the Cornell thread again. Don’t look into things because usually you’ll just end up stressing yourselves out.
Am beyond shocked because I’ve just learnt from a friend that a certain girl just got into Columbia with a 1600 SAT score.What has the world come to am just shocked.
24 hours left!
@please5-do-not% Admission Officers try to be holistic and to look at achievements contextually. Just because the student doesn’t have strong test scores doesn’t mean she is not qualified for Columbia and vice versa. Test scores are just one part of an application.
Isn’t it a strange concept that all of the months of agonizing over this, posting in forums, crying, taking tests, etc all leads up to one moment?
In that one moment it will all be over.
Also, I turned 18 today, and I swear I heard more about Dartmouth today than about my birthday, lol.
@dinolove that is very true.Holistic approaches are very good
Anyone know what the admit rate is for deferred applicants?
@cncincolor Happy birthday! Welcome to adulthood.
@clairecm98 I think it’s around 10%.
@cncincolor Happy Birthday!!!
Thanks! @dinolove @norcaltraveler
Well, the Class of 2020 Early Decision welcome page is live…
I’m glad that all the great schools are holistic and not so score-crazed. While it is true that majority of students have (and need) good grades, not everything’s about numbers, numbers, numbers. There are brilliant students who just aren’t good test takers. Scores don’t make or a break anything. They’re literally just numbers, nothing more. They don’t really reflect how smart or wonderful a student is. An applicant should be someone the school can fight for (as in they argue for you when the admission officers decide).
Hey guys I just want to wish everyone good luck as we go into this together tomorrow! I know that everyone here deserves a spot, and I’m praying that as many of us get in as possible! I hope y’all know that each of y’all are gonna go where ur supposed to, and despite the fact that we r all gonna be crying tomorrow whether we get in or not, don’t be discouraged! I’ll see y’all on the other side of 4:00 p.m. EST
Is anyone else totally freaking out?
