Dartmouth ED Class of 2020

They interview students in their area.

The waiting is torture!

I’m getting so anxious. I just want to know! ah

Just out of curiosity, how many internationals are here?

Does anyone know how much weight Dartmouth places on the writing supplement? Kind of second-guessing mine now…

@skiergirl5098 they use it to judge your personality more than anything.

@skiergirl5098 and for assessing “fit”. Once you’ve met a certain academic threshold, that’s really what admissions comes down to (both fit and personality).

I realized an error (not a severe one by any means, but one nonetheless) in my Supplement and am now nervously pacing my kitchen hoping the Committee overlooks it.

@SirPepsi It’ll be okay… I had a typo at the end of my supplement, too. I said “lead” when I meant to say past tense “led” lol

I know the waiting is torture…so I want us to be sorta confident that we know when decisions are coming out…so do most of us agree that they are likely coming out next friday(the 11th)?

When will they tell us when they’ll release results? Usually, an email is sent out in the weeks before results informing applicants when they’re being released.

ED results for the class of 2019 were released on December 12, 2014 at 4 PM. This year will probably be similar. The ED acceptance rate is about 25%.

They’ll probably let us know the decision date once they’ve evaluated all the applications. And I’m thinking that won’t be for another week or so, as there are still interviews pending and November SAT scores that need to be received.

guys I’m so nervous too!!! do you think these scores are good enough: 2160 SAT comp and 34 ACT?? i know scores are only one aspect of the application but do you guys know if my scores are high, average, or low for ED applicants?

@clairecm98 I have a 34 ACT as well. Dartmouth’s middle range is 30-34 so I think we have good scores.

I’m worried because I’m just now realizing that I didn’t copy and paste the last 50 words of my supplement. My essay functions fine without them, but they definitely summed up me as a person and showed what I could contribute to Dartmouth. Now I’m so worried. I wish I never noticed that I did that! Hopefully the rest of my applications and my recommendations can speak for themselves. The waiting is killing me!

ahh I finally decided to make an account on this website! but less than two weeks until we get our decisions y’all!! mentally preparing myself for the rejection letter though…

Just went through my essay again and realized 3 words were missing.Like the last 3 words didn’t copy paste so there goes my chances…I wonder how my rejection letter will sound like :((

guys its ok i’m sure you won’t be rejected just bc there are a few words missing from one essay. there are many other factors in the application process

Calm down. We’ll be fine, haha.

Hahaha yeah… go search up “clamfart” in CC if you are feeling really insecure
