Be as brutally honest as possible. Dartmouth accepts around 2-4 kids from our school every year.

I prefer not to chance people, but shouldn’t you be able to compare yourself to the top 10 or so kids of your grade in your school? If you fit in that group, you should have a great shot, if you’re near it, then you still have a chance.

I go to Dartmouth. Honestly, its a crapshoot. Everyone here is smart, or at least was in high school, so there is no point in chancing because even though you have a good shot–definitely in your realm of possibility–in the end there are thousands of other kids just like you, at least ecs and academics wise-- just try to set yourself apart and not in pretentious way. Good luck, and apply to a wide variety of schools! Please do not put all of your eggs in one basket—that is literally the worst thing you can do. You have probably heard this a lot, but you actually will end up where you are supposed to be.

Hope this helps
If you have any questions about Dartmouth, feel free to ask!

Thank you @xoxo14. I will definitely take your advice into consideration. I plan on having at least 3 safety schools and 2-3 match schools that I am confident I will get into.
