Dartmouth Interview Questions?

Hey guys, just curious, what questions did you guys ask your interviewers?

I didn’t ask any.

I’m still trying to figure that out…last interview I never really had the opportunity to ask questions

Oh I see. I only asked my interviewer what activities he enjoyed at Dartmouth. My friend tells me I should’ve asked my interviewer more questions :(

I didnt interview with dartmouth but with another uni i asked

“what are the biggest college rivalries (between dartmouth colleges/frats or between schools)”
“do a lot of people have cars?”

stuff that interests you :)

My Dartmouth interviewer did not give me time to ask questions. It was overall a very unpleasant experience, really. She asked me questions, typed my response on her laptop while I was answering, and moved on to the next without comment. I felt like I was talking into a tape recorder or something.

Plumdum229: Oh no! I see that you’re from “Somewhere in CT”…I am too! I hope I don’t get the same interviewer!

i haven’t even been contacted by dartmouth yet…
damnnn

I haven’t either, cdld. I’m a tad concerned. Anyone have any information about this?

I asked if he thought if the frat scene was overbearing on the campus.

^ And the answer?

I loved my interviewer last year but of course they can vary. Keep in mind that all of them are volunteers, so while it isn’t impossible to get a bad interviewer, most of them are really just excited to have a conversation with you about Dartmouth.

You may not get contacted for an interview until Mid-February and sometimes they are unable to interview you since it is limited to alumni availability. (But if you live in CT that probably won’t be a problem)

More info is here: [Admissions Interview - Optional](http://www.dartmouth.edu/apply/admissions/firstyear/interviews.html)

Just got back from my interview. He was really nice and I enjoyed it even though I was nervous - it was more like a conversation than an evaluation. He made it pretty clear that it didn’t matter if I asked questions or not, he wasn’t keeping track or anything, but questions just came up as we were talking. I asked:
-why he chose Dartmouth
-what he didn’t like about the school
-about the DOC and options for students interested in art
-about the language school and the flexibility of requirements
He knew about so much, even the different art programs even though he didn’t participate himself - overall it was really helpful and Dartmouth went up on my list :)

@Row: He said that it’s a very open Greek system, but if you are not a part of it or you don’t have an IN somewhere, then you might feel left out.
