thanks

off to driver's ed

I'd say you have a very good chance. Good luck.

my brother got into dartmouth with a much lower gpa / similar EC's / higher test scores ... i'd say all the ivy league schools are hard to get into but you definitely have a shot.

You have a very good shot. I see no visible weaknesses.

As I indicated in a different post, I consider this a good match school for you.

Good luck.

P.S. Thanks for the info on how they do the GPA at your school (in the other thread)

I'd say you're in.

sweet, thanks all. i really love the school, even though i'm not really a teamsports athlete

i love to mountain bike and snowboard

^who doesnt? (except im a skiing guy :))

yeah, i'm actually going to start taking up skiing so i can start heli-skiing by the time i'm about 22?

bump, thanks

You have a really good shot.

As for skiing, I entered Dartmouth basically a novice. I left doing cortices and coasting through moguls; basically I kept going skiing with my roommates until I was forced to become a good skier. Most fun ever.

sweet so far no negative comments, which is a good sign =)

Hanover is a beautiful (though quite small) town. Dartmouth is just north of the main square and has a large lawn area just north of the main street/downtown (if you could call it that) area.

You are mere minutes from Vermont, and the school loves their football team and winter sporting events and holiday events. Hope you end up there and get to enjoy it all. (I was there two summers ago).

You have a good shot. Of course, with Ivies you are never 100% sure. I think you have a wonderful chance though! (I really want to go to Dartmouth too. I'm applying next year). Good Luck with everything!

I would say you 100% deserve to get in, but I don't think it's a match. It's still a reach (but a very reasonable reach). You look scary-similar to my best friend. SATs exactly the same, perfect GPA, very very very similar EC's (except maybe the american idol thing, and change the poli-sci abstract to econimics), his sister goes there, AND he applied ED and got deferred. I think he might just be a rare case, cuz both you and clearly deserve to get in, but I hope you have lined up some excellent backups. If you applied to all Ivies tho, I am 100% sure you would get into at least 2 or 3 (I wouldn't be shocked if you got into all 8). BUT, for some reason or another, it just may not end up being Dartmouth.

wow thank you. your comment was very uplifting =)

i'm very pessimistic about this whole process.

i was doubting that i could even get into 1/10 schools that i applied to.

thanks !

revival bump!

"4.08/4W GPA"
What's your uw GPA?

Anyways it's still very good either way, and you have a really good chance.

our school does not de-weigh the GPA

bump! 10cahrahhc
