Dartmouth likely letter recipients. Where else do they get accepted?

Accepted: Dartmouth (likely), Cornell (Dean’s Scholar nominated), Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore (early write)
Waitlisted: Columbia, Duke, UChicago, JHU
Rejected: HYPSM, Brown

Wow… so it seems like likely letters from dartmouth are akin to the kiss of death (assuming you were aiming to go to HYPSM). How counter-intuitive.

It may be the case that those who received likely letters and were also admitted to HYPSM are no longer monitoring the Dartmouth forum.

Even WITH the bias noted by standrews, I count 9 of 18 respondents so far who got into at least one of HYPSM (and a couple of those who did not get in apparently did not apply).

im speaking for 2 of my close friends who got likely letters.

Friend 1
Accepted: Dartmouth, Cornell, Duke
Waitlisted: Nowhere
Rejected: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Penn, Columbia

Friend 2

Accepted: Dartmouth (LL), Columbia (LL and Kludge Scholar), Amherst (early write), Williams (early write and Tyng scholar), Princeton, Yale, Harvard

Someone I know:
Accepted: Dartmouth (likely letter), Amherst, Stanford, Harvard

accepted: Dartmouth (LL), Brown, Johns Hopkins, Harvey Mudd, UCLA, Cal, UCSB, Reed
rejected: Princeton, Stanford

Although I didn’t apply to Dartmouth, I just wanted to say that got a likely letter from Yale and also got into Harvard and Princeton but was waitlisted at Brown and denied at UPenn (I applied to the School of Arts and Sciences as an English major, NOT to Wharton).

Accepted: UCI, UCSD, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Stanford, Yale
Waitlisted: Columbia
Rejected: Harvard, Princeton, MIT

Accepted: Dartmouth (LL), Duke, Johns Hopkins, UPenn, Georgetown, UChicago

Accepted: UT Plan II, Dartmouth (LL), Columbia (LL), WUSTL, Northwestern, Rice (w/scholarship)!!!
