Dartmouth RD '18 Hopeful... But feeling doubtful

I need some opinions about my chances at Dartmouth.

I have never done all with standardized testing and my SAT scores come out to 1790... Way below average. Same with my SAT 2s.
But I do have a few good things going for me:
I intend to study theater and I already have 6 professional theater credits (Weston Playhouse and Opera Theater of Weston).
I've also done a lot within my community as well as coming from a small Vermont town. I heard that could help?
But more importantly, I just took English 015 with Professor Brett Gamboa, Shakespeare. And I passed with a B. Will that help?

Thank you for your time.
Best,
Leah

Realistically, with a 1790, unless you have an amazing hook, it will be tough.

Try to retake it in January and get at least a 2000 (though you should be in the 2200 range).

Also, try the ACT.

Dartmouth has is the top reach on my list but I’m beginning to doubt my chances of admission now. I ED’d to Williams College, only because I figure my chances of acceptance were more realistic, but was deferred. With a SAT super-score of 2160, am I Dartmouth worthy? The applicants’ pool this year seems really strong.

Here’s my resume in brief:

[ *] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: deferred at Williams College

It’s always worth a shot! I’m a Dartmouth '17, so I went through the application process last year…and in my experience, college admissions can be very unpredictable. You might think you can easily get into a school, and then you don’t. Or you might think you will undoubtedly be rejected from a school, but then you’re accepted. It’s just so strange. Even if your SATs are lower than you had hoped, maybe some spectacular extracurriculars that the Dartmouth admissions staff feels will improve the makeup/diversity of the student body will get you in. Again, it’s all just so unpredictable. Good luck with the process!!! :D
