dartmouth reference in movie

Superbad is believable primarily because of the highly interdependent friendship of two very different teenage boys. Evan (Michael Cera) is kind, intelligent and decent. He is preparing to attend Dartmouth. His longtime best pal, Seth (Jonah Hill), is foul-mouthed and obsessed with sex. He didn't get into Dartmouth

Haha I just found this group on facebook:
"I'm Superbad! (Dartmouth: the origin of McAwesome)"

Dude the '11s are going crazy on facebook! Back in my day the only group we had before we got to campus was "Dartmouth '09s"

BigGreenJen : Are you from Class of 2009?

Yeah. I am just finishing up my amazing sophomore summer and I don't want to leave!

i still stick with the whole... it was stupid thing.

aww c'mon deep down, you must have loved it.

no.

it was really 'tarded. hmmm

i did like the dartmouth references :)

(although several liberties were taken)

jen. i'm an officer in that group...

;)

Haha. awesome.

i thought it was "mcawesome" ....

mcawesome!

yeah how about that, the kid knew his housing assignment when he was still in school. I think we all know how untrue that is.

Also when he was picking out classes with his guidance counselor.

Next thing you know they'll be saying "semester"

totally plausible because D has the schedule of classes for each term of the next 2 years posted on thie website in the registrar's section. So you can decide what you are interested in , when it meets how many people are already registered and how many seats are remaining.

Yes, you could do that, but that moves away from my point (haha)

Fantastic movie, really hilarious. It is Michael Cera that gets the job done. He is my favorite actor by far! If you haven't seen Arrested Development you have not lived. His online series "Clark and Michael" was good too. Deadpan humor is the BEST!

Ok, wierd question- do you think this will create a spike in applications to Dartmouth this upcoming year?

It can do that... Brown had it from the OC, so it's hard to predict. It certainly will build name recognition in some areas that think HYP are the only ivies... and Dartmouth is considerably smaller relatively speaking... plus, with the over enrollment problem of this year, they will have to take fewer students then other ivies, I think they will take fewer this year (add in that they are one of the few Ivies with ED).

Ooh, I wanna watch it now!
