Dartmouth/top school Admissions

Hi! I have a question: a girl at my school already got in to Dartmouth ED, and I was planning on applying there RD, but I was wondering, is it even worth it to apply now? If Dartmouth already took someone from my school (I go to a pretty small high school), what are the chances of them accepting another, due to the idea that they have to diversify their applicants geographically-speaking? Dealing with a Uchicago EA deferral, I’m very concerned about what other schools I should even apply to. I go to a very rigorous (public) high school, and a lot of my peers have already gotten into top universities, including ivies and near-ivies. I am in the same ranking bracket as these students (my school doesn’t rank individually because it’s so competitive), but I feel that there’s no top school I can truly get into even. Does anyone have any suggestions for top schools to look into, and any advice on whether I should apply to Dartmouth?

Thanks!

If there are schools you can afford that you’d go to if accepted, you have not much to lose in RD. Just know the RD acceptance for these schools is 1 in 20. Ideally if you aren’t in the top 25%tile with scores (assuming you have no hook) don’t expect to get in.

Dartmouth (and its peers) has no min/max/quote per high school. If they want 2 students from the same HS, they will take 2.

Do you truly like Dartmouth? If so, then Colgate, Amherst, Bowdoin, Hamilton and Middlebury could offer you additional choices. For less selective options, look into Whitman and St. Lawrence.

Williams, too, should be included with the above.

If I missed it, sorry. But I don’t see your stats, rigor, ECs. Are Dart and these others feasible for an admit?
