I would say you have very good chances at all those schools… you’re a little bit lacking in your extracurriculars but those grades should be enough to get you in anyways tho… i just hope you showed interest in those schools, esp washu, and you should be in to all three of them

thanks, thegusroman!
I don’t have many ec’s, but they suck up a disproportionate portion of my life. I also do volunteer work and tutor but I’ve entered my info into so many applications, for both schools and scholarships, that I’ve started leaving stuff out because I’m tired of typing it…
I’ve visited all of my top choices and interviewed with them, so hopefully that will help.

Can you answer to me why these three colleges because say if someone (me) told you that they hated Dartmouth, would you be able to refute that and explain the good aspects or are you applying just because of its reputation.

Why do you say I’ve been ■■■■■■■■?
All I’m trying to do is get experience on these boards and opinions on colleges.
I’m actually being very open-minded actually so please don’t mess up my username.

Also I’m tired of oh this Ivy is going to be great, is this not a democracy.
We can’t only have one opinion of something but a variety to strengthen us as a whole.
So to you who say I’m a ■■■■■ you are the ones truly close-minded.
I’m a junior by the way and am currently analyzing Brown U. if you will as a prospect for one of my choices though it will be very hard to get in even if I found myself wanting to go there.

All I’m trying to find out is why those three schools because I want to see others views on these schools. Now you explain to me why I’m a ■■■■■ if you still think I am.

Please cool it, everyone
Haitian, I think you might wnat to learn how to defend yourself better, so it doesn’t seem like you’re lying. It comes in handy on college essays! However, I don’t think I’m the one to ask about the Ivies, I’m only applying to one - the least “name brand” one. Ask the people who are wanting chances for HYPS etc, they’ll probably give you a better run-down of reasons to apply for ivies. I just visited Dartmouth over the summer and fell in love with it. Amazing profs, fun people, excellent science program that would give me a scholarship. Plus, I run cross-country and they have a great team and beautiful scenery.
Why do ask about “these three schools”, by the way? Tufts and Wash U aren’t ivies, just popular with people who apply to HYP.

Slipper1234 - thank you for your statistics! 40% for Dartmouth is quadruple the 9% acceptance rate! A happy thing! :)
