haha i just wanted to know if you've seen any movies/tv shows that have references to dartmouth. that way i can go out and rent them at blockbuster over the summer to keep me occupied because i will go crazy waiting for 4 months without a little dartmouth spirit!!! =)

so far, i know there's animal house, winter carnival, grey's anatomy, never been kissed, and she's all that. hehehe

If you've ever seen *Wag the Dog/i, there's a Dartmouth reference there, too.

Cain: But there isn't a B-2 bomber. Conrad: Where'd you go to school, kid? Wellesley? Cain: Dartmouth. Conrad: Then show a little spunk. There Is no B-2 Bomber, General Scott, the best of your knowledge, is not in Seattle to talk with Boeing...

A River Runs Through It--though, it has an interesting little error. Showing pictures of Norman Maclean '24's school days, the movie shows a picture of the Baker Library Tower Room. The movie later says he left Dartmouth to return to Montana in 1926. Baker, and thus the Tower Room, wasn't completed until 1928.

Don't forget!
In the the Godfather world, Michael Corleone studied for 4 years at Dartmouth College before he chose the darker path of being a mob boss.

There's one episode of the West Wing when the press sec. divulges that President Bartlett (Martin Sheen) was a prof. at Dartmouth. However, she incorrectly calls it Dartmouth University, which irked me plenty.

And yeah..Micheal Corleone '42..However, in the book, he meets his wife Kay at college, even though D wasn't co-ed until the '70's. Oops.

Simpsons (the creater went to one of the Ivy's so he likes to poke fun at all the other ones in his episodes. In one he has a country singer describe someone to be "as drunk as a Dartmouth boy").

hehehe thanks guys! i'm gonna go to rent those movies now. just something to pass time now that the worst is over (i.e. the mental torture of the physics test). hopefully theyre not just crappy stories with awesome references =)
