dartmouth v. uva v. unc v. georgetown

so i'm in everywhere but princeton now, and i thought back in november when i figured out my list of where to apply that by now it would have fallen into a sort of hierarchy in my mind, and i'd just go to my top choice that admitted me.

well, that hasn't really happened yet, and the four in the title are all still just about equal. can anyone help sway me one way or another?

dartmouth is way above the other 3 but u should go to the best fit for u

I have been to all of them and if you like the outdoors, D is the place to be. From the standpoint of academic rankings, graduate school matriculation, etc., it is also the place to be. Much smaller than uva and unc and more diverse-- remember, a small percentage of uva and unc classes are from out of state.

I went to Dartmouth and my cousin went to UNC. My best friend from b-school went to UVA. I have spent alot of time at all three. While UVA and UNC are fun schools, there is no question in my mind that the Dartmouth experience is much more tailored to individual students with far more resources available. For example - Its the little things like study abroad - where Dartmouth sends you with a professor and you have only Dartmouth students and go on weekly trips - all paid by Dartmouth. Dartmouth, at the undergrad level, is one of the top few college experiences in the country. The other three, while great schools, are a step behind in my opinion. You see this in spending per student, advising, study abroad, grants/ research spending on undergrads, etc. This results in better recruiters on campus and better grad placement. Also the alumni network is among the top few in the country.

All are great. Dartmouth is "greater".
