Dartmouth vs Duke -> Law School

Accepted to both. I'd like to get some feedbacks on which school can prepare me best for top-notch law school. Thinking of majoring in Economics or Poli Sci. as undergrad.

Won’t make a difference. Choose the school you like more.

It will not make a difference what school you attend. Law school is all about GPA and LSAT. At the end of the day there are students from both schools that get into top law programs.

Unless you’re specifically looking to get into Duke’s Law School, either institution will prepare you about equally for Law School admissions, neither will give you an edge. The only edge I can see is Duke undergrads being given a boost when applying to Duke Law.

Well I know a number of Dartmouth students now at Duke, Stanford, Harvard, and Yale for Law school, but I say it won’t make a difference

I think within the context of these types of schools the difference is negligible. I could only see a case being made for Ivy-equivalent vs state school, but as they said before, GPA and LSATS are critical.

I agree with all of the previous posters: both Dartmouth and Duke will give you an excellent education that prepares you to compete for a slot at the country’s most selective law schools.

For what it’s worth, most would agree that Dartmouth’s economics and political science departments are stronger than those of Duke.
