Thought I'd ask here for an unbiased opinion. Thanks.

Duke > Dartmouth > Cornell

Actually Duke & Dartmouth are surprisingly similar, but I say no to Cornell...it creeps me out.

Dartmouth > Duke

dartmouth is more selective but if ur talking about other stuff....

dartmouth is small while duke is rather large

dartmouth is decently close to boston...duke is in the south :(

Dartmouth has great undergraduate focus. I actually believe that it has alot in common with Princeton. What do you want to major in?

ilcapo, why does Cornell freak you out?

What do you want to study?

environmental science...possible medical school

possibly* (go to med school; fulfill pre-med)

Cornell has just about any life science program known to man. . . . .they also have Environmental Engineering, if you're interested.

It seems like you've narrowed your interests down enough where Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell might be a good fit, I'm sure you could make a course plan to suit your needs. . . .

Dartmouth and Duke are both fantastic schools too! I just know more about Cornell. you can't go wrong with any of the places you listed.

Between Dartmouth, Duke, and Cornell, I would go with either Dartmouth or Cornell. No offense to Duke or anything (it is a fantastic institution), but I just couldn't see myself there. Also, because you seem interested in science, I know that Cornell is fantastic in the sciences, especially since it has the undergraduate college Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Duke has an amazing school for environmental and ocean sciences, complete with a huge forest (9000+ acres) and a marine lab with two vessels. Definitely go to Duke, especially if you want to do environmental science!

Can't beat Cornell!!!!!!!!!!!!

For that particular major, Cornell > All.

cornell has its own island marine-stuff environmental campus...

Haha, I think all these messages reveal it. All are awesome academic schools, so choose on where you would like to be. Personally Dartmouth for me, but you can't go wrong.

Dartmouth > Duke > Cornell

Dartmouth and Duke, you should probably choose based on which you actually like better. Academically, they're both giants, so it's no problem on that front. They have VERY different tones, though, so really, if you think in that regard, the decision should come to you.

Cornell I'm cutting out of the mix because it's too hard, and while I'm sure you can handle it, it seems very depressing. It's beautiful, but I don't think anybody should have to do that much work. As negative as grade inflation sounds, really, you want it. And Cornell is serving none of it.

Cornell >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dartmouth / Duke

Seriously though, thess schools are all really different. Go check them out and go to the one that feels right.

Don't go for the Cornell's too hard bit... I mean come on, these are elite colleges and you're worried about the work being too hard. If you get into these schools, you can do the work. To make the hurdle of getting in and then not expect to be challanged by the work seems so shortsighted.

Duke>Cornell>Dartmouth for me....

akashbansal, why is that??
(i'm specially asking you, cuz you live in India.)

oh and SANGEL, did you decide?
which school did you pick and WHY?
