Dartmouth vs. "Little Ivies"

Right I am just so excited. I was accepted to Amherst, Williams, Haverford, Swarthmore, and Dartmouth. I am just confused where to go. I have visited all of their campuses and stayed overnight everywhere except Williams. I have plans to go on and earn a MBA at a top biz school such as Wharton and Stanford. I want to major in History or Philosophy. I am also looking at law school too.

Please give me any comments regarding all of them. Every comment will be appreciated.

Well miamiboy, CONGRATS, those are awesome awesome accomplishments!!

What was your opinion when you visited each of the campuses? Do you want a small LAC type education, or bigger university like Dartmouth?

I'm sorry I can't really talk a lot about each of those universities, but I felt I should give you some congratulations, that's truly impressive :)

congrats! i want a harvard/wharton MBA too. thats my goal. and stanford is my #1 undergrad choice. actually i dont know much about the LACs, so this post is pretty much useless to you lol. congrats again!

Of those, Williams and Swarthmore and probably my favorites. But then, that's totally just my opinion - you should definitely just visit all of them and see if you like the atmosphere! And CONGRATS!

That's unbelievable that you were accepted to all those great schools so early, CONGRATULATIONS. Are you waiting on any others? Personally I'd pick Dartmouth or Williams.

Congrats on all your acceptance letters. BTW, what were your stats?

How did you already hear from all those schools? I have friends who applied and they haven't heard. Doesn't Dartmouth have to wait until March 31 to release decisions because its an ivy? Anyway, if you did already hear from all those schools, congratulations. They are all fantastic and its amazing that you got into all of them.

Likely letters and early writes I'm guessing.

I don't know much about any of the schools, except Swarthmore.

My basic impression: Swarthmore = tons of work. and i mean TONS.

SATs:1510 710 800 620(ouch)
Rank:10/252
ECs:all business related and had leadership positions. I only put 3 clubs down and something international
GPA:95.3 out 100
Hook: Black American who lives in ghetto of Chicago

Colleges:
Amherst-Accepted
Williams-Accepted
Swarthmore- Accepted
Dartmouth-Accepted
Princeton-
Wesleyan-
Penn-
Brown-
Pomona-
Haverford-Accepted
Georgetown SFS(EA)-Accepted
University of Chicago(EA)- Accepted

eh east coas ivies suck except for harv. cornell brown prince and jhu

and no columbia either, I would go for Williams or Darthmouth - Williams because its a great school, and Dartmouth because its Ivy and has a big name in grad admissions (which is true for any of these schools actually)

IMO gtown SFS and swarthmore are ur best acceptances right now. and lol clippers, jhu isnt an ivy, and columbia > cornell, brown.

All the little ivies + Dartmouth will be great schools in preparation for MBA. IMO, Swarthmore is you best bet. Swarthmore is closer to a big city with more internship opportunities. Swarthmore students can also take classes at U Penn, dunno about Wharton. It's quite a bit smaller than Williams and Dartmouth with an even closer community. Not very atheletic if that fits your interest.
