My S just narrowed his choices down to these two schools. He is interested in pursuing a premed track in college and is wondering which college offers the better placement into medical schools. At this point, Dartmouth offers better financial aid and he thinks the people are a lot friendlier at Dartmouth (didn't like the people he met at Wharton). With not too much time left before he has to decide, any advice?

Both schools place phenomenally well into the top medical schools. To be blunt, making a decision based on the quality of the premed track at these two schools is just plain stupid.

It’s far more important that he go to the school at which he will have a better four years. He will go to a great medical school if he attends either school.

Yeah there is absolutely no difference. Any argument about Penn’s top med school is washed out by Dartmouth’s superior advising and undergraduate focus. If he likes Dartmouth more, then absolutely Dartmouth.

Should be an easy decision, because the two places pose stark differences. Academically, won’t be much difference but lifestyle sure is at two extremes.
