Dartmouth (10K pay) Vs. WUSTL (Full-ride) Vs. Northwestern (less than 5K) Vs Wharton (10K) Vs. Berkeley 10 K Vs. Notre Dame, Emory, Vanderbilt: Full-ride Vs JHU (No financial aid). What is the best option?

What are you planning to study? Sounds like business with Wharton. Have you visited the campuses? Philadelphia is a world apart from Hanover or South Bend. Do you have a clear “I fit in here” preference? A full ride at WUSTL is probably from one of the four or five application scholarships. My daughter received one, but it was tuition only, which still left around $9000 a year. Dartmouth was actually less than WUSTL even though it was only need based aid (we had lots of need). Vanderbilt was the most generous of my daughter’s aid packages, and they appear that way for you as well.

Here’s my list:

Dartmouth - WUSTL - Northwestern - Wharton - Vanderbilt - Notre Dame - Emory - Berkley. But you need to evaluate intangibles that others cannot really help on. Good luck with all your choices.

this isn’t that hard. Wharton is def the best school on your list. If you don’t choose that, then I’d go with the full ride at Washu

I call subtle WashU ■■■■■■■■.

Wharton or Dartmouth. Dartmouth will get you almost as good an opportunity at a top business job as Wharton with a, in my opinion, much more balanced undergraduate life.
