Dartmouth's response to the tragedy in Haiti

I have heard from my son about the response of the Dartmouth community to the tragic situation in Haiti. I am sure that most if not all colleges are responding with similar efforts, but I do think that President Kim's history of personal involvement in Haiti has made the situation more real to the Dartmouth students. I am very proud of the students and faculty for quickly responding with donations, and also am impressed with the courage of the volunteer medical teams being sent from Dartmouth Hitchcock. There are updates on the College website for those interested.

If any of you are able to give and have not done so already, I encourage you to consider donating to Partners in Health.

This is a wonderful effort and has direct benefit, given Partners in Health’s long term involvement in Haiti.

Just donated to the organization today actually, learned about it through the Dartmouth gravevine. Also donated to UNICEF prior to this.
