<p>Dartmouth is in Hanover, correct? How is this area in terms of getting around without a car? Is it a safe and quiet little area?</p>
<p>very safe and quiet
public transportation is a bit below adequate. at the same time, there is little use for a car as most everything is in walking distance</p>
<p>Although I loved having a car for 1) road trips 2) trips to lebanon to get bigger stuff/ stuff not available in hanover 3) travel to outdoor stuff like hiking, 4) skiing, 5) trips to VT/ woodstock etc, 6) moving, and 7) going home.</p>
<p>None of this is needed of course and I had many friends without cars.</p>
<p>speaking of having a car, how much parking does Hanover have?</p>
