Data Science Major and Pol Sci/Spanish Double Minor?

Hi!

I am a rising senior in high school and will be attending college in the fall. I have not made my decision on where I would like to go to and I am also wondering about what I should study. I am planning on for sure having Data Science as my major, but I am not as sure about my minor. I have grown interested in political forecasting and that would mesh well with Political Science as my minor, however, I also want to learn Spanish and a Spanish minor interests me a ton as well. Would a double minor make sense? I have also looked into a Statistics minor, however, I would be taking all of those classes in the Data Science major anyways.

Thank you in advance!

Minors are precisely for exploring your interests outside of your major. Minor in one or both so long as it fits within your degree plan and it doesn’t require an extra semester.

You might be interested in AU’s “Data Science for Politics” major, since it would combine two of your interests into one major.
