I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PUZZLED BY ONE QUESTION.....

DO UNIVERSITIES GIVE EACH APPLICATION EQUAL CONSIDERATION NO MATTER WHAT TIME (MARCH 1ST OR APRIL 30TH) THEY ARE REVIEWING THE APPLICATION

IN OTHER WORDS ... DO THE PERSON WHO'S APPLICATION IS REVIEWED ON MARCH 1ST HAVE BETTER CHANCES OF ADMISSION THAN ONE WHO'S APPLICATION IS REVIEWED ON APRIL 31ST???????

lol @ caps
for starters what colleges have an april 31st deadline? as long as the app is submitted before the deadline it does not matter because transfer apps arent even looked at until a few weeks after because they are still figuring out incoming freshman

If they think there is an April 31st you don't want to go to that college anyways.

Something tells me this "deadline" is a rolling admissions deadline, and to answer your question on that... yes, with rolling admissions the earlier you apply the better your chances of being accepted are. If there is a deadline however everyone has the same chance and the applications are reviewed all at the same time.

What do you mean?

Northwestern app is due on may 1st?

burgler09, how do you know that they review all the applications at the same time?
Not questioning your authority, I'm just curious.

I was wondering the exact same thing as OP, because my brother was denied from all the schools for which he submitted his application the day before the deadline, but accepted to the ones for which he submitted a few weeks before the deadline. This might just be a coincidence, but I thought it was worth looking into.
