I applied to Bowdoin Early Decision, and are the letters mailed out on 12/15/04, or is that the date will we find out. I am trying not to be antsy, but I would really appreciate a message form anybody who applied ED. Thanks - and best wishes for a great holiday season.

Me too! Where are you from? I was told they are reviewing apps this week...so hopefully next week we'll get a response....good luck!

Hello, I think you actually IMed me, but here's what I know.

I found out in the mail, 12/15/2003 that I was going to Bowdoin.

I live in North Carolina.

They definitely mail before 12.15.

Expect to know within a week and a half would be my guess.

what were your stats?

A little north of Pittsburgh, PA. Where are you from

My stats? I think I had a 3.9
5's on 7 APs
1600 SAT, 3 800 SAT IIs (math 2c, writing, biology)
Math club captain, Science Olympiad Captain, quiz bowl captain.

Various other things, a lot of work experience.

All types can go here. I've got a pretty different application profile than my varsity hockey roommate did, but we're both having a great time and doing well.

Great stats Oliver...Elysse I'm from Western Massachusetts

Admission Office will send you notification via E-mail on Dec.15. Good luck!

Thanks Isabot... That's odd it is an e-mail, i have always heard of people receiving letters.

Good luck Sara! Keep me posted!

Is it only by email? Or by mail too? AHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh(freaking out) I'm going insane....what are your stats by the way? If you feel like posting...

It's ok Sara, I'm going insane too. I promised myself a long time ago that i wouldn't really care - but I'm just at the point where I really want to know. By the way, did you want my stats, or Isabot's? Keep me posted - and once again, good luck!

Yeah I did the same thing...trying not to care.....lol not WORKIng! I am also trying the whole reverse psychology thing.....make myself believe ill be rejected...things can only get better from that expectation right? And yes Elysse I wanted your stats...as always good luck and keep me posted..:) no worries!

it's both. if you listed your email address on your app, they'll send you the email (but it doesn't give away the "answer" in the title - you have to open the email to find out if they've accepted you...) so that you can know a little earlier. and then everyone gets a letter a few days later (or, at least, a few days for me - upstate NY - but it could be longer depending on where you live).

Here are my stats... I trimmed down my resume - I originally explained everything on it

I am 15% in my class - there are about 170
I did not send in my SAT's. They weren't bad, but I didn't think they would help.
This year, I have 3 AP's. Last Year I had 4 AP's... and I have a packed schedule with all three languages offered at my school.
