well it was 27% this last year, and a 5% decrease is big

they admitted 7150 last year, i just said 7000 because i think they can be more selective

and why do they release it fashionably [very] late compared to other schools?

I think you will find that BC is fashionably late on many things. Don't get me wrong - our D loves BC and so do we, but they tend to drag their heels on so many things and for whatever reason, the system can't seem to handle "bulk" anything. Over the years, we have been witness to many problems with the computer system - from ticket lotteries to housing assignments. I think the seemingly overnight success and appeal of BC has been a problem for them, but to their credit, I think the administration is really trying to become more efficient. If you are fortunate enough to receive a yes, consider yourself to be very lucky. It is such a wonderful place to go to college. Good luck!

well actually, I the first envelope I received from a college last year was from BC. The other schools I had applied to sent me envelopes 1-2 weeks after I received my decision from BC. I suppose that contradicts what you wrote CCviewer

People had the letters by 3/29 (a Thursday) last year in CT and upstate NY. Given that it's 3 or so days from Boston to mail to those areas, I'd guess they mailed out on Monday 3/26.

Or maybe we're overanalyzing this? Why don't we just kick back and wait for the letters? There's nothing we can do to speed them up :)

i currently go to school in china though. i suppose i'll have to call in.

Most colleges will email or priority mail to internationals, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I'm worried because I'm not receiving many emails! :(

I'd use the update email link, it isn't working on mine but supposedly it is working some of the time. I get all of BCs emails on Gmail so maybe you could create a gmail account...
