<p>Does the date you submit your FAFSA affect the amount of financial aid receieved? For instance, would someone who submitted their fafsa in Feburaury get more fincial aid then someone in march? Both financial circumstances are the same btw. Doesn't seem as it would matter.</p>
<p>Grant funding may be limited. Some states have earlier deadline for FAFSA if state fund is considered. It is always advised to submit FAFSA as soon as possible as it may also affect the merit aid with need component from school.</p>

<p>Date of submission might matter for institutional aid (financial assistance from the college itself). Some colleges have deadlines - miss the deadline and you’re out of luck. Other colleges simply have limiting funding available - miss the priority deadline and there might not be any money left.</p>
<p>We were given a Perkins loan in October. My daughters private school decreased our grant aid and gave us a Perkins loan because they said her brothers colleges cost of attendance decreased too much!</p>
