I know I’m just wasting time trying to find something to be optimistic about, but is it possibly a good sign that Brown last looked at my financial aid forms on March 15th (to waive the student’s tax form)? For them to look at my forms just two weeks before March 28th would mean that I at least probably wasn’t rejected, right?

The financial aid office is separate from the admissions office, so you can’t get any indications from them looking at your documents.

Yeah, they’re separate, but some people theorize that the financial aid office waits until the admissions office tells them who is accepted before closely looking at their documents. Otherwise, the financial aid office would have to set up a financial aid package for thousands of people who aren’t even going to be admitted.

My student tax form was waived on February 21, the same day my IDOC requirement was fulfilled. Probably means nothing.

In the past, people have noticed the same thing and been rejected. I promise - it’s my fourth time seeing this process through on CC.
