What's dating like at georgetown...common? more of a longterm relationship culture or mainly hookups...?

anyone???

I don’t know really. All I have heard is that hookups are pretty common, without commitment. But I have also heard that serious relationships are semi-common.

Of the people that I know personally, I know of about 3 couples, max. Maybe less. People REALLY don’t date at Georgetown. It’s all hookups, people that couple off but don’t make anything official, or nothing at all.

As a recent graduate I feel the perception is that there’s not a lot of dating at Georgetown. However, I’ve been dating my girlfriend since sophomore year now and I know at least 2 dozen other couples. So dating isn’t impossible by any means.

I know some couples…but they were in the Korean community haha! Might be more common there than in the general population. I date someone at GW since high school.

bumpppppp 10char

People totally don’t date that often. It’s weird because most people I know who are in a relationship have girlfriends or boyfriends who DON’T go to Georgetown. My boyfriend doesn’t go to Georgetown, and most of my friends just hook up. I’m from a college town with a large party school, and I’d say that relationships were far more common there even.
