<p>Hey all. I'm transferring to CMU soon. I saw that old thread about social life and dating and the absence there of. Is that true? No real hotspots thereabouts?</p>
<p>I study hard and get good grades, but I like to have some fun too.The thought of being on an island scares me. How do the other kids cope!!!</p>

<p>OSU to CMU. . .two very different places. You might find the social life at Pitt more like OSU.</p>
<p>So what are the cool places to hang out here and meet some people? And fun things to do? </p>
<p>Ohio State had this beautiful little pub across from where I lived. All nighters were fun. pub till midnight and then stagger back to the apartment and try to make sense of the books till morning</p>
<p>Maybe you should have studied first and partied later? ;)</p>
<p>I only know CMU social life by reputation, but there's alot to do in and around Pitt. It's several blocks from CMU and you can easily walk or take a free bus ride.</p>
