Daughter turned down UCLA and now has BIG regrets.

<p>I can certainly see a student finding Pepperdine pretty intolerable, but I admit I have almost zero sympathy for these vague statements about just “knowing” that UCLA is perfect and just “knowing” that U Wa isn’t right, with no specifics whatever. If her parents want to indulge her in this sort of thing, that’s their prerogative, but…</p>

<p>If it were my kid, I’d be letting her know that she was free to leave Pepperdine, but that being in state for UW made it her logical choice, and she ought to seriously rethink and revisit and try to make a serious decision raher than flouncing from school to school in a storm of adolescent angst. In actual fact, though, it appears that the D was trying to deal with these feelings herself until her mother decided to spend hours <em>extract</em> them from her. Perhaps it would have been better to support the D in dealing with her choice rather than encouraging drama and angst.</p>
