<p>absolutely. if she’s a junior, have her take the ACT or the SAT again, but her GPA is great and that will win the day. what college does she plan to enter?</p>
<p>For the students that entered in the fall 2013, the middle 50% of SAT scores was 1260-1410. That is for the CR and Math sections only. You didn’t say what your breakdown is, but that is really important. UMD is very much stats driven. Also important is GPA. Most admitted students have a B+/A- average while taking the most challenging classes such as honors or AP. The ec’s are important as well as recommendations and good/thoughtful essay and short answer questions. Assuming everything else is good, I think biggest concern is the SAT score.
