I somehow won this award and am scheduled to receive it in a couple of weeks during the awards ceremony. The problem is I don't know what this is or what I've done to win it. Can someone explain this award?

P.S. I'm a male and was afraid this was an award directly for females, so can someone clarify me about this as well.

I was scheduled to win the Dartmouth Book Award, but all of sudden, it changed into this. What is going on?

Usually you write an essay for a DAR prize, but you would know you did that. It probably is recognition for loving history. Does that sound like you?

It may depend on if it’s an award or scholarship. My D’s school nominates a student to get the DAR Good Citizen Award. The student is then entered into the scholarship competition starting at the state level, requiring an essay. Even if a student does not advance any further in the scholarship competition, the DAR Award is mentioned at the awards ceremony (along with the other award winners such as Harvard Book Award, Dartmouth, etc). The DAR awards numerous scholarships to students, both male and female.
