And congratulations to those accepted in the ED round - I hope I will be seeing you next fall!

I got in Early Decision, but I’m trying to negotiate my fin aid package. I’m probably still attending, but I’m not entirely sure yet.

I hope to see you soon as well!

Me! Three more months! Where are you guys from? I live near Chicago.
I’m definitely going to Davidson if I get in, but I couldn’t apply ED. Good luck to everyone! And congrats junhugie! I hope everything works out.

I am beyond anxious! I’m from southeast Georgia. Have you guys visited?

I’m from Florida. I’ve visited the campus twice - once at the end of December when the campus was empty and once this fall when I took an official tour/information session. The campus was gorgeous both times! Davidson was definitely the friendliest college I’ve been to - everyone was really nice and very welcoming

I visited! The campus was beautiful and I LOVED my tour guide. I also had an individual info session, which was really helpful. My dad and I went to the Union and just collapsed on the couch and watched the world cup soccer game, and the student there was cheering with us! It was awesome.
By the way, if you all haven’t seen “I Love Commons” on YouTube, watch it now. Your love for Davidson will multiply by about a billion.

I stayed overnight and it was just amazing! I love that the students come from all over the country. Everyone is SO friendly.

I just watched that video and it does make me love Davidson so much more! (If that’s possible.)

haha I love the “I love Commons” video! aww Stephen Curry :)

:) You guys should watch all the Davidson Show videos on YouTube…so funny!

I am a current freshman at Davidson, and I’m so excited for you guys! Best of luck to everyone! If you have any questions, I may be able to help!

Hi pumplemoose! I actually do have a couple of questions if you’d be willing to answer.
So…grade deflation? That’s my one and only concern with Davidson. I work very hard and want that to pay off. Have you experienced it, and is it as bad as people say?
Also, what’s your favorite thing about Davidson??

Thanks for coming in here to help us! I hope you keep having a great time at Davidson!

Hello Pumplemoose! I have heard that Davidson students consider each other as family and “look out for each other”. Is that true? And what do you think is the most influential factor for deciding on going to Davidson? Did you attend to Jr. Day?

^^I second the grade deflation question That’s the only thing that slightly worries me

Yes yes hello!

What I have found concerning grades: I’ve always worked hard for my grades, and coming here its no different. In college, the bar is raised significantly, but I haven’t actually ran into grade deflation here yet. I mean, I’ve only been here a semester (: I feel like I deserved the grades that I got, and I learned so much. I haven’t spoken with anyone who felt like they didn’t deserve the grades they received. I will investigate and look into grade deflation more though, since I don’t really know that much about it.

My favorite thing about Davidson, by far, is the community here. Community meaning students, professors, and the residents of Davidson. I feel so at home, and have met so many wonderful people. And I’m meeting new people everyday. We most certainly take care of our own at Davidson.

I first visited Davidson on Jr. Day, and I definitely think it helps to come and see Davidson for yourself. I also did an overnight stay. I encourage all of you to come visit and see what makes this place so special!

That’s great to know! Thank you very much!
I visited Davidson this summer and LOVED it. I will go if I get in…fingers crossed!

rejected ed2

Sorry dear
I really hope you end up somewhere you love!
I can hardly handle the wait till April…

Thank you very much! I was really disappointed because davidson really was the perfect school for me. Hopefully I can go to a school just like it. Good luck with the rest of your schooling!

I got in ED I’m so excited. I’ll be swimming next year as well. Anyone else from the Chicago area?

Hi swimstar! Congratulations!!! Hopefully I’ll be joining you…I gotta wait til April 1 to find out though. I’m from the Chicago area too…I live in the Western suburbs but I go to school in the city. I’m loving the snow day.
