Thanks @Highbury ! I seriously doubt I would be able to attend, $$-wise, but if $$ wasn’t a factor it would probably be my #1, so it would be nice to at least be accepted
Hey Everyone Could anyone be willing to give my essays a read? My scores werent that great (31 ACT and 3.92 GPA) but I believe my essay was pretty good. Just want a point of view of someone other than my counselor
@Thisishassanali i’m down. I got in with less than stellar GPA and scores so you shouldn’t worry too much.
@londondad Thats what I told everyone on this thread I agree. They review thousands of people who have given O/A levels each year so Im pretty sure no conversion etc is needed.
tomorrow is the day!
^^ Davidson results and W&L’s johnson scholarship results in the same day now I’m definitely gonna have a heart attack
No one excited?
@DVDplayer more like nervous
Waitlisted

Rejected but not totally unexpected

Waitlisted to Davidson and U Chicago, rejected from Northwestern (all regular decision). 30 ACT, 4.0 unweighted GPA, 5.0 weighted GPA, 3 sport athlete and captain of all, president of several clubs. Hope this helps someone in the future, I know I’m always wondering the credentials of applicants.
Hello @gracie21,
How is GPA calculated in your area? I’m thinking mine is very different from other places.
Accepted, 31 ACT 2060 SAT and 4.0 GPA. Live in Davidson, major participation in Science Olympiad, Rowing for 3 years. (declining application bc of decision I made yesterday, hopefully one of those on the waitlist will be lucky to get in!)
Accepted. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! And good luck to everyone who got waitlisted or rejected.
@scarlettsweb13 I go to a large competitive public school in MD, Basically unweighted GPA here is on 4 point scale, so a 3.95 in my case translates into straight A’s except a B in ap bio and a B in ap english first semester junior year that later turned into A’s second semester. Weighted GPA factors in honors/AP credit , so my weighted GPA is higher (4.52) because i took exclusively AP/honors for most of highschool
Accepted! 4.0 UW, 5.1 W, 34 ACT, 10 APs, AP Scholar with Distinction (likely National AP Scholar), VP Student Council, numerous ECs, 15/635 (top 2%) in a top 10 public HS in NC. Honored to be a Wildcat! (Hope the aid package works in my favor…)
