I’m honestly incredibly bummed about this. I suppose my raw stats weren’t enough. My girlfriends mom is a very active alum; she made several calls, and wrote a letter on my behalf. It’s dissapointing to have had her help me out so much only to get rejected. It is certainly humbling, 0-3 on regular decisions. Georgia was my safety school, but I suppose things change. USC comes out Thursday, but at this point i am really not expecting anything. I certainly wish all accepted and who decide to attend a hearty congratulations, and hope you have an incredible time. If anything, this experience has made me reflect greatly on who I am as a person. Good luck to all.

Strengths: I had clearly demonstrated that in my mind that Davidson was my first choice; I had tons of leadership roles and incredibly strong profile (academically and the like)
Weaknesses: I wasn’t particularly enticing for minority/diversity standpoints. I was sort of your run-of-the-mill upper-middle class private school preppy kid.
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: See strengths
Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Accepted at Wash U in St. Louis, Richmond, UCSB, William and Mary, UCSD and still waiting to hear from UC Berkeley, Penn, Emory, and Tufts.
Rejected from: Claremont McKenna and UCLA
Financial Aid is out now (you should have received an email). Davidson has been pretty generous to me. Not the best offer I’ve received, but not too far from the best…
I think something went wrong with my FA app, because I only received a 10k merit based, when I need like 32k to go there…
Waitlisted!
Kind of a bummer, but i never really got too invested in Davidson…probably for the best!
Stats: 35 act, 2190 sat
97.25 gpa
10 aps
Debate club, mun, varsity xc, pit orchestra, tri m, nhs president, national merit finalist and lots of volunteering with kids. Good commonapp essay.
I am really impressed by everyone who got in…you are stellar!
The financial aid is off, I didn’t get what I needed. I thought Davidson promised to meet need?
For all accepted students: on the part of the common app where it told to list out the other schools we were applying to, did you list all the schools or just some of the schools, possibly just the safeties in order to make Davidson look like your number 1?
@saswizy I just put down some of the schools that I applied to. The schools that I did write down did not make it look like Davidson was my number 1.
@Saswizy I was accepted, but how come I did not see that section on my common app where it asks me to list other schools?
@jyz999 The question asking about other colleges and universities to which you applied is listed in the “Other Information” section of Davidson’s supplemental questions to the Common Application.
@Saswizy I listed every college and university to which I applied in no specific order.
Who else applied to Wake Forest and Washington and Lee?
I applied to Washington and Lee!

Not too bummed since I’ve never visited (and I think I was the only one who applied from my school in the past two years) but congrats to those accepted!
What are your stats everyone?
@umasshopeful97 Just look at the previous pages for the stats of at least fifteen applicants.
Does anybody know when non-application/competition scholarships are released, like the ones they just give to you? Did anybody get them in a letter?
