I got put into Davidson D this year which is an all girl dorm, and I'm really bummed out about it. I was always the girl who hung out with the guys just because they were a lot less clique-y and drama-free. I also love doing stupid pranks and stuff just because I can, but I'm scared no one in my hall would want to join me. I know in my high school group of friends, the girls weren't particularly adventurous. At least I know the girl I'm rooming with, and she's really chill.

I don't really care about the size of the room though. My boyfriend was in Davidson his freshman year, and I've seen his room. Not that bad, at least from my perspective.

Can anyone shed some light on how an all girl hall operates? Is there a lot of drama? Did you ever hang out in the coed halls? Would it be weird to bring my boyfriend in my room?

All girl dorms are actually some of the Best on campus… they are tight knit and shockingly really drama free. You are more then welcome to bring your BF over but obviously just keep it respectful with your roommate. Another thing to keep in mind is some girls choose all girls dorms for religious reasons, as their hair / head cannot be seen by guys without a scarf etc. Davidson B and C are coed so you can always go over there and Davidson A is all guys… as lame as that sounds the majority of them are very studious yet still like to go out and have fun. Davidson is a good place, You got a good bunch of RAs this year there as they are trying to make Davidson the place to be. So don’t worry you’ll love it there… plus you make it sound like your BF is older so he should have a place too if you don’t like it but i am sure you will.

Eh I’m still iffy/bummed out about it. This may be my first and last year dorming, so I hope what you said is true. I have a really low tolerance for drama. lol
