Sometimes the intense heat makes up for what winter lacked. :(

But it’s for all dorms in general, even those with air conditioners! If it’s 90 degrees in April, Rutgers have the right to not turn on the air since some law states that air conditioning can be provided only if (1) the heat is intense for a certain number of days in a row – I think 5 days – and (2) it’s May.

I remember my freshman year when I lived in Metzger (one of the BAMM dorms), there was this week towards the end of April that was intensely hot! But Rutgers refused to turn on the air conditioner. Only hot air was blowing out! My roommate and I along with the girls across the hallway opened our windows wide and left our doors open just so we could have some sort of cross wind occur to keep us cool.
