Davidson vs Emory

Out of the schools I got accepted to I have narrowed it down to these two. Finaid from both is about the same. I like both schools a lot and I am having a hard time choosing just one. Any insight in this decision will be appreciated.

Ok I am in exactly the same boat, choosing between Davidson and Emory. I am wondering if you’ve gotten any further in your decision, and why? It depends on the day, but usually I lean toward Emory because it is bigger and it seems like there would be less stereotypical students. I am worried about the fact that at least half the kids at Davidson went to private school. However, I think it might have a much more personalized atmosphere. I am torn. Emory is more expensive for me, but I think I might like it better. What do you think?

hey,
I just chose Davidson a few days ago and paid my deposit. One of my major factors was that Davidson was cheaper. That is a factor to not be underestimated. Also, I come from a really small school in Jordan with a graduating class of nine, so I felt that the more personalized atmosphere at Davidson would be better for me as well.

However, I did really like Emory, and this was a tough decision for me. I would say follow your heart, it is your choice, your next for years. I do not think you can go wrong. I would also look hard at the money difference and really think if the extra expense is worth it. But if you think you can afford it, and you like it better, by all means go to Emory. My choice, though filled with other factors, came down to I liked Davidson more. Go to where you think you will be happier.

oh my gosh was your essay the one in the google maps project?
if it was, I almost started crying, seriously it was awesome from the bit I read. Totally moving.

Hello there! As a current Davidson freshman, I would like to point out that Davidson has one of the most personable atmospheres I have ever been in. Right now I am working on a paper that a professor let me POSTPONE because I went to a convention on alternative energy the other weekend and didn’t have time to work on the paper. I am consistently amazed at how understanding everyone is here.

hey aolmsted3
I don’t think the essay is mine. Anyway, which school did you choose?
