Davidson vs Tufts?

Simple question, Davidson vs Tufts?

I am considering a transfer to Tufts. How would you rank the decisions, good/bad, no/yes?

I am assuming you are transferring next year since the Tufts transfer due date was march 1st? Davidson accepts 19 out of 82 transfer applicants which is around 20% whereas Tufts hovers around 10%. Both are great schools but it is a matter of preference. Davidson is a lot smaller than Tufts, Davidson is in the south in NC whereas Tufts is in Boston, Davidson is D1 and Tufts is D3. It is all a matter of personal preference but both are great schools. It just depends what you are looking for.

yeee boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Transfer application is due March 15th for Tufts. How would you rank Tufts in comparison to prestige with that of Davidson? Post-Grad?

Duff.
Y'know, the beer?

Tufts is more prestigious than Davidson, but it's a matter of fit for you, personally.

I see, thank you all for the help. If accepted, I believe I will transfer. I have a few friends that go to school in the Boston area and they absolutely love it.

In my opinion, Tufts and Davidson are equally prestigious. These are, however, very different schools with respect to campus culture. Tufts is a typical northeastern liberal university while Davidson is fairly religious & conservative. Tufts is urban/suburban whereas Davidson is a southern rural (but not isolated) school.

I really like both schools and feel that each deserves greater national recognition. In that vein, however, I would not say that Tufts is more prestigious. Both are well known and respected in their home regions, but both are pretty unknown and pretty unappreciated outside of their home regions. As others have mentioned, these two schools are quite different, so I encourage you to visit as where you are more comfortable will easily make up for any relative differences in prestige.
