UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCD: Safe Match

stanford maybe, cornell, dartmouth, and brown great chance

for the record, i'm just posting my top huge reach schools here. of course i'm going to apply to lots of lower schools too.

Based on your current stats:

stanford - reject
u of michigan - waitlist at best
cornell - reject
dartmouth - reject
brown - reject

Your SAT M+V of 1260 is way below the median M+V for any of those schools. Stanford - 1460, UMich - 1305, Cornell - 1390, Dartmouth - 1455, Brown - 1415. Unless you get you SAT scores up significantly, these schools are out of reach for you.

By the way, your strongest EC seems to be art. Why not an art school or a school that has a BFA in art program? I ask because I'm an art kid and just got into the Art School at Washington U in St. Louis.

Thanks for your honesty, amptron. It's somewhat disenheartening but also good to have a realistic opinion. X) I would apply to an art school but I'm probably not going to be doing anything in an art related field, so I'm looking more for a general education.

Does anyone have any more input for me? I'd also love to hear any suggestions for good colleges that would be more in my reach...

I definately have to say that stanford might be too far to go out and grab, but then again, i dunno, ive met a lot of random people who got into stanford on luck (or so it seems to me). but personally, i think cornell shouldn't be that hard to get into, i mean, i can't guarantee it, but i could definately say that its possible. I also think that since you're a CA resident, like me, you should be fine for UCLA.
