Much to my suprise I was rejected from Davis. And adding to that, Irvine hasn't contacted me yet. I'm sure there are others in the same boat as I am.

Yeah, I know that they're always that one person who gets rejected from Irvine and gets to go to LA, but realistically now, do you think a rejection from Davis greatly decreases chances for Irvine?

Certainly not, Irvine and LA differs greatly in rankings, but Davis and Irvine are very similar, so I don't think so. It also depends on the major you applied for I guess. Good luck.

It depends. Many factors are considered when making a decision. It seems decisions are really random this year, so don't give up hope yet. Plus, Davis had the most applicant gain than any UC this year.

I was rejected by Davis last year and got into Irvine so there is hope. I know Davis had to cut down acceptances last year because too many kids decided to come that fall. I think Irvine might be in the same boat this year as they told us that our class has 6500 freshmen which is the biggest ever.

I've heard that Irvine was enrolling a huge class, but I heard nothing of cutting acceptances. I think Irvine was actually planning on expanding the classes and housing to accomodate. But yeah, it's good to know that there is still hope.

I've heard UCD rejected a lot of good students. My daughter did not apply to UCD(something about Cow town) but a lot of her friends got rejected that are really good students. I'd say UCD's admission decision is more eratic than UCI.

has anyone been accepted to the business administration major yet because I haven't and I have been waiting for soooo long! I'm starting to really worry because I got rejected from UCSD and Davis but was accepted to UCSC and UCR. Does UCI send out rejection letters last because it seems like everyone else has already gotten accepted. I'm freaking out! UCI is my first choice and I don't know what I'd do if I was rejected. Somebody please reassure me!!!

Hey cambosoup I'm in the exact same situation as you. I was devastated to find out that I got rejected for UCSD and UCD, but was a little relieved to find out I got into UCR and UCSC. I've been waiting on Irvine for a really long time. Don't give up hope. I'm trying to still have hope.
