<p>Hello, my girlfriend needs to choose between Davis and Syracuse and she likes so many different qualities about both schools that she just can't make a decision. She decided that whichever school is better for her major will be the one she will attend. Her major is Classics. Does anyone know which school has a better Classics department? I've been looking for rankings but can't find any. Thank you!</p>

<p>Neither university appears on that list, but at Davis should could take classes at Cal or UCLA for a semester or quarter. All UC students have that option Not only that but Davis has its own department whereas Syracuse stuffs classics in the Languages department.</p>

<p>Davis also has three times as many people in their department 6-2 faculty-wise.</p>
<p>And Davis is ranked a bit higher.</p>
