Hi guys!

So I’m an idiot and I need help to fix my situation. I got into Davis with a 2.9 and this semester I only took 11.5 units and got a D in Econ 102. My major is anthropology so Econ is in no way related and I just totally ruined my semester gpa with like a 1.7. My overall gpa is a 2.88 now but Davis said that I got a D and my gpa this semester was not good so they revoked my admission. I can’t sir to another school. Davis is my dream school and I already found a place with roommates and set up an orientation date. Does anyone have any personal experiences having their admission revoked or have any advice of what I should tell the admissions office? This semester I honestly was just more focused about next year and working to save money for next year because I didn’t plan on having a job. I told them I was focused on soccer and my grandma being sick. Should I also tell them that I got into a car accident my first yet of cc and that’s why my first year grades were bad? I was left on bed rest for two months during September to mid November because I was immobile but I did not include that on my application. This was my third year of community college. I did all my pre-reqs that my cc offered and I finished igetc so please help. Any kind of advice would be really appreciated

Were you accepted to other schools? Contact any schools that accepted you and ask if their offer stands despite the"D." (It may be that others that accepted you will also rescind their offers because of the “D.”)

You could try submitting applications to CSUs still accepting Fall 2014 applications. This list <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU; shows that CSU Bakersfield and CSU Humboldt are still accepting applications to Anthropology applicants.

I was accepted to merced, Santa Cruz and Irvine but I stupidly withdrew the acceptances from everywhere besides merced because I was so happy about Davis. I appreciate the link to the csus I didn’t apply to any and I didn’t know they were still accepting applicants. I’m really not sure what to do about Davis though. I need to go there this fall and I need help to convince them that I can retake the class this summer, get a passing grade and raise my gpa.

You need to respond WAY before this fall, like immediately. Did you go to them proactively with your grade or wait until they found it out? Call them and see if there is any way to make it up in the summer BEFORE your transfer time, or what other options might exist including appeals. I bet if you are going to appeal it has to be now, not then.

And if it is a dead end, try contacting Santa Cruz and Irvine and explaining, see if you can still get in there, and if they have a way to let you make up the course in the summer. Don’t wait.

I was revoked of admission my first year of applying for transfer because even though I got accepted in, I ended up getting a D in my Statistics class that was needed to fulfill the “one UC-transferable math course” requirement. I just ended up retaking another year of community college and reapplying again the next year. Surprisingly, I got in the second time again.
