UCB is a great school, and people enjoy it there because of its activity and prestige. In your position, it is a hard decision. You acknowledge the great of both schools. <p>whokilledbobby, not "all the Berkeley guys ganged up on you," and you didn't really cover that many of Berkeley's bad points. Additionally, this isn't some turf war. The way you present things was just a bit off, such as your presentation of Berkeley being near two places with high muder rates means Berkeley will have high murder rates, or you implied that Because both Davis and Berkeley are both UCs, the funding is from the same source, but you didn't mention that most of the money used at each school isn't from the government. But enough about that, you can read the posts over there if you want. Like I said on the other thread, either school can serve people well.</p>

<p>DRad, all I was there for was to make a point about Davis v Berkeley. That's it. And it really isn't a turf was, I was using an overstatement to enhance the humor in the situation. But there is a more Davis friendly audience here that is all I was trying to say. Sorry if you took it too literal.</p>
<p>A good friend of mine just chose Davis over Berkeley... she is not bummed about it at all. Silly rankings tend to be overrated. I, for example, chose william and mary over UCLA and Berkeley even though they are rated slightly higher. Its all about the fit.. between these two you really can't go wrong.</p>
<p>I'm not offended, and I think there's been enough focus on this thread about how I read or take things, thanks. Stay on topic and stop focusing on me, please.</p>
<p>I think that UCD has many strong points such as an excellent science program and a nice country setting; although it gets a little hot in the summer.</p>
<p>UCB is urban and has a lot of world class programs. </p>
<p>It all depends upon what you want to major in.</p>
