<p>My husband and I have a high school senior and a two year old. We both work full time and so our child care expenses are high. The FAFSA asks about other kids in college but does not seem to take into account day care expenses, and our EFC is higher than we can afford. We listed this in the "other" section of the CSS Profile. Is anyone else in the same boat and did schools take into account their day care expenses if listed in the CSS Profile? My stepson's mother (the non-custodial parent) is not able to contribute to his college expenses.</p>
<p>I think it depends on the school- I had a child in private school and although there was a place to give that information on PROFILE, it did not seem like it was taken into consideration.</p>
