Hi, I am starting to plan my college visits and I saw the Boston College has a day visit program. My mother wants to come with me on the tour, so are parents allowed or are just visitng students? Thank you.

winterdays,

We went to this visit back in Feb and parents are more than welcome. The day is set up to attend different “visits” to academic departments and other events…some even just for a parent to attend. I would say very few, if any, attend without a parent.

^i’d disagree with that

Parents go on the tours and go to the info sessions, but with a day visit you have an actual student bringing you to their classes and showing you around so usually only the visiting student goes with them. I’ve never seen a parent tag along on a day visit

My bad i guess. I thought you were referring to an accepted student day. I have no idea on a day visit.

You can also go to Accepted Student Day without a parent. That’s what I did. But if you’re going on a day visit, you likely would not bring a parent with you.
