Can anyone share how a day visit works? Also, what did you do while your son/daughter was doing the visit? Thanks!

I will give this a try, as my D and I visisted the 'Berg this summer for a tour and were there again yesterday for her official admissions interview and to visit some classes. I am assuming that a day visit is basically that: a kid visits during a school day and sits in on classes. Basically, I stayed out in the admissions lounge when my D was being interviewed, and after about 25 minutes, they called me in for the final few minutes. Then, my D went on to several classes (she arranged the visits through the different departments) and I just sat outside in the sun and watched students go to and from class and read a book for one of the classes, and then, for the other, I went into the General’s Quarters coffeeshop/food place in the student union and had a bite. That was it.

Thanks, that sounds about right. :)
