Dazed and Confused about Colleges…Please Help!

<p>Hi, I am going to be a senoir in high school and all of sudden i realize i have to make choices about my future. I hope you guys can help me out because i am very confused about which colleges i can get in to and which ones i can't. I dont want to be worrying about nothing. Here are some of my stats:
GPA: 3.8
Class Rank: ranked 22 out of 450 students, a.k.a. top 5%
SAT score: not so good, about a 1790 on the new SAT.
2 SAT subject scores taken: History which is ok about a 690 and Math IC about a 500.
I have been prepariing for the SAT alot more this summer and I am raising my scores alot.</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars:
Varisty Cross Country
Varisity Indoor Track
Varsity Outdoor Track
NHS
French NHS
presedent of one club and hold other offices in 4 other clubs
National Honor Roll
Scholatic athelte of the year award
Griffin Hospital volunteer (about 200 hours)
Library volunteer
Special Olympics volunteer
Boys state
and many other small jobs, religous groups, races, fairs, etc. </p>

<p>I want a college in the North East or Mid Atlantic, and an urban residence, in a major city. I was also looking in to majoring in international business </p>

<p>Does NYU seem like a good match and realistic school for me? please feel free to make any comments or suggestions, i could really use your help. Thanks alot!</p>

<p>Go to NYU's site and look at their stats. The profile of admitted students last cycle. I think they might be a reach for you. Is that GPA weighted or unweighted? Other places to consider: NEU, GWU, etc etc. Go to the collegeboard site, put in your major and do a college search.</p>

<p>Stern would be virtually impossible with your SATs and especially with a 500 math 1c. Business schools require considerable math. Are you sure you want a business major? What are you planning to do with it?</p>

<p>is there anyway i could apply to a different school with in NYU and switch to Stern if i keep my GPA up, in a year, because all freshman have to take the same basic classes no matter what school they are in</p>
