<p>I believe he/she means in the Senate, DC has no representation. Well no, real representation. They do have shadow senators I believe, but they don't have power to do anything.</p>

<p>That would be news to me, but I went to hs in Wash D.C. a long long time ago. Back then it was most definitely true that any decent college was going to be out of state, and our pubic hs (woodrow wilson) did a very good job of preparing its students to go to top colleges.</p>

<p>Have you seen a Washington D.C. license plate? What does the inscription for your state say? Wash D.C. reads, "Taxation without representation"</p>

<p>I know for a fact that DC residents get In-state tuition for most US public colleges including UMD</p>

<p>DC residents get in-state tuition for all US public universities. And our reps in congress don't have any voting power.</p>
